Mitch was born and raised in Lethbridge. He married Jennifer his high school sweetheart.  As newly-weds, Mitch and Jennifer lived in Red Deer where they managed a Garden Centre and Christmas Store. After four years with the company they moved to Medicine Hat so Mitch could undertake an apprenticeship with Cook’s Funeral Chapel. Mitch gained his formal education from the Western School of Funeral Service. Mitch is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, funeral celebrant and crematorium operator. In 2001 Mitch received an offer from the owners of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium in Red Deer to manage their new funeral home. Mitch and Jennifer jumped at the opportunity to move back to Central Alberta. After a few years, Mitch received the opportunity to purchase the funeral home with a partner.  In 2008 Mitch sold Parkland to his partner and proceeded to purchase Metcalf and Mountain View Funeral Chapels. Today Mitch and Jennifer live in Olds and are honoured to carry on the legacy of caring initiated by the original owners. Mitch enjoys being active in the communities we serve. He serves as the Vice President of the Alberta Funeral Service Association and a director of the Innisfail Chamber of Commerce. He is an active Mason and Rotarian. Mitch also assists as a leader with the Olds Beavers Club. He enjoys time spent with family and friends and feels fortunate to serve families  in our community during their time of loss.



Tom Peters

Tom was born in Winkler, Manitoba and came to Alberta in 1989 to study at Gardner College in Camrose.  Tom met his future wife at the college and they decided to make Camrose their home for the next fourteen years.  He worked at several jobs including working with developmentally challenged adults and then working for the Bethany Group.  Feeling called to the funeral profession, Tom enrolled in the Western School of Funeral Service and found an apprenticeship at Metcalf Funeral Chapel.  He was offered a full time position in 2004 and has made Innisfail his home since.  Tom has three children and is involved with the Rotary Club and his local church.  He looks forward to many more years being involved with the Innisfail community and serving families to the best of his ability.



Derek Ramage

Derek was born in Calgary but was raised in Red Deer. Derek started apprenticing with Red Deer Funeral Home and then moving to Eventide Funeral Chapels. Where he took his schooling through the Western School Of Funeral Services graduating in 2003. Derek and his family moved to Innisfail in 2006 after finding employment with Metcalf and Mountain View funeral chapel shortly thereafter. Derek enjoys spending time with his wife and 8 children also with his grandchildren. Derek and his wife Chris, who is a E.M.T for Mountain View Regional, own and operate the Tiki Hut Tanning Salon in Innisfail. In his spare time, Derek enjoys  tinkering around with his saltwater aquariums and traveling. Derek finds great meaning in helping a family through a very difficult time.



Brittany Williscroft

Brittany spent most of her growing up years in Innisfail attending both John Wilson Elementary School and Innisfail Jr. Sr. High.  Upon graduating from High School, she took a year off before finding her calling in the funeral industry.  She enrolled in the Canadian College Of Funeral Service in 2006 and spent the first year of her apprenticeship at Snodgrass Funeral Homes in High River and Okotoks. Upon graduation in 2008, Brittany found full time employment with Mountain View and Metcalf Funeral Chapels, back close to home.  She currently lives in Innisfail with her boyfriend Brody and spends her spare time volunteer coaching for both the Olds Figure Skating Club and the Innisfail Figure Skating Club.  She looks forward to continuing to give back to the community and helping families in their time of need, growing both professionally and personally.



Charlene Winsor

Charlene was born in Bonnyville, Alberta. In her younger years she moved around a lot. But when starting high school, finally settling in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where she graduated in 1992. Soon after she met the love of her life and married in 1996.She then followed her husband overseas and lived for 5 years. Shortly after the birth of her son in 1998 she was getting homesick. So the family decided to return to Canada, where they settled in Central Alberta. Charlene joined the Funeral home in October 2009. She works as the administrator and enjoys her job very much. She is learning a lot and feels privileged to work with great people and being part of the team



Steven Gardner

Steven was born in Lumby, B.C., but spent most of his growing up in the Sundre area. After graduating in 2003 Steven decided to take a year out and travel around Europe. Upon his return he finally settled back in Sundre, Alberta. He started with the funeral home in March 2010 as an apprentice. Steven is starting his schooling in September 2010, to become a Funeral Director. He is looking forward to a new challenge, giving back to the community, and helping families in their time of need.

Brad joined our Funeral service family in April of 2008 after he retired from the RCMP. During his 30 years with the Mounties, he was posted throughout Alberta from Waterton Park to Westlock and in between. Originally born and raised in a rural farming area of southwestern Ontario, he prefers the small town atmosphere and demeanor of people. That's one of the reasons Brad, his wife Jacqueline, and their two boys chose the Olds are to live when moving here 5 Years ago.They enjoy motorcycle touring and traveling as a family as often as they can.
Brad and his family are active in community sports, church, and grade school activities. He has a long standing interest, himself to classic cars, collectibles, the outdoors, and all sport related topics.
With his experience in civic duty, public interventions, he looks forward to helping families administer one of the most difficult times in their lives.



Norman Morris

Norm was raised in Airdrie, Alberta. After graduating High School he went to SAIT where he got his degree for Business Administration in 1968. He married his wife Wendy, had 2 sons, and is now a proud Grandfather of 3 Grandsons. After retirement with London Life for 28 years Norm and his family moved to Didsbury. Norm now works at the Zion Evangelical Missionary Church as the facility manager. Through the Church Norm came into contact with the Funeral Home, and has now been with us part time for the past 4 years. He enjoys the work and is very committed to helping families in their time of need.

Lawrence Gould

 Lawrence was born and raised in Ontario. He moved to Edmonton in 1962 where he operated a trucking company for many years before moving his family to Provost to pursue agricultural interests. Years later, agricultural opportunities provided the right amount of encouragement to move the Gould’s to Red Deer. In 1980 Lawrence decided once again to make a career change and undertook employment with the city of Red Deer putting his human relations skills to work. After 12 years with the City of Red Deer Lawrence was recruited by the Canadian Union of Public Employees as a Labor Relations Practitioner. With them he moved to Grande Prairie and then Medicine Hat before returning to Central Alberta in 2002. In 2004 Lawrence entered semiretirement and started a small Audio/Video business. Through his work as a sound and video technician Lawrence came into contact with Metcalf and Mountain View Funeral Chapels. Lawrence found working in the funeral home environment very fulfilling and soon joined us as a staff member. Through his audio/video company Lawrence is a Member of the Innisfail Chamber of Commerce, he is director of the Innisfail & District Historical Society, an active Free Mason and Shriner. Lawrence and his wife Dorothy have four children; they enjoy camping, traveling and touring with their antique cars.



Alison Van Arnam

Allie was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and moved to Calgary when she was 2 years old.She met her husband Chris in Crossfield, and moved to the family farm outside of Carstairs in 2001 with their three boys.She is a very active volunteer and has a strong sense of community. She was on the Cremona Fire Department, drove for FCSS, and helped with Church activities.
Through her volunteer work she had the opportunity to help at a funeral as an attendant. It was then she found her calling and realized she wanted to help families in a larger capacity. She enrolled in Canadian College of Funeral Services, and will start her second year in September 2010. Allie looks forward to working closely with families in her community for years to come.
