Life Legacy
Fox, Byron Clayton
Byron Clayton was born on Friday, December 3, 1926 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He grew up on a farm near Picture Bute Alberta .His earlier occupation composed of Falling timber, trucking and driving the greyhound as well as the city bus in Prince George B.C. He later worked for B.C, Hydro. He was predeceased by his former wife Pearl, (1969) and his mom and dad, Sid & Marie Fox from Calgary, a nephew and a sister –in – law. He moved south to Penticton, B.C. married and raised 2 children, a daughter and son. The family moved to Central Alberta where he worked at the Didsbury hospital for a number of years. He retired in Didsbury. But health problems erupted and he retired at Aspen Lodge in June 2008. This year in June he was admitted to the Acute care unit at Didsbury Hospital. After a few weeks, on June 29 a.m he was transitioned to the Calgary Chinook Nursing home, but it was short lived. God had other plans. At 7:00 p.m. he was transferred into the presence of Jesus. Tuesday, June 29 2010.
He is remembered for: Byron had an innate sense of justice. He freely expressed his views, whether municipal, provincial or federal issues. He had a keen sense of how governmental affairs should be conducted. He worked hard, was frugal and took pride in his accomplishments. Byron found satisfaction in coffee with friends and family. His dry sense of humor intrigued his visitors. His spiritual journey had struggles, but he made his peace with God. He had a love for the old fashioned gospel and simplicity of faith, watching his favorite programs, Tribal Trails, Sundays gave him inspiration in on his spiritual journey. Funeral Service for Byron was held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Zion Evangelical Missionary Church, Didsbury. Byron was laid to rest at the Didsbury Cemetery following the service.
