Sammy Alcantara Fernandez of Carstairs, AB passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the age of 63 years. He was a hard working, caring, quiet and friendly man. He built a strong foundation and a bright future for his family through hard work, patience and perseverance. Through it all, his accomplishments will never be forgotten, never be denied and surely be remembered. Sammy was a wonderful friend and above all a great father. He is survived by his loving wife Neonita, his three
children: Daisy, Francis and Sonny as well as his wonderful grandchildren: Anthony, Tyrone, Meagan and Kiefer.
The Fernandez family wishes to thank Mr. Murray Oppersthauser as well as Mr. & Mrs. Ed and Gwen Jensen; because of these wonderful people, the families future was steered towards new opportunity and a far better life. We would also like to thank all the friends Sammy met along the way for their love, help and support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we are grateful for all the things that you've done. Without you none of this would have been possible.
We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of The Tom Baker Cancer Centre,
the Foothills Hospital, and the Didsbury hospital as well as the staff of Mountain View Funeral Chapel.
We love you dad, you will be missed by all.
